I don't know how to deal with these recent rulings.

I'm 31. Neither do I.

I'm not sure anyone really does. We're all just kind of muddling through the best we can.

My plan is to live a life I can be proud of, no matter what direction the country (or the world) is going, and take the consequences as they come. I've always wanted to be a homesteader, I've been interested in self-sufficiency since before I knew the word, so that's the life I'm building. It's the life I would choose to live even if the economy was booming, Christ himself was elected president, and unicorns were found that poo'ed clean energy. It's just the way I am.
