I am pretty sure that somehwere there is a law that makes bartering illegal as hell.

So how long before the West Coast Barter Kings get busted?

Especially bartering with booze.

Just a FYI, unless it is a transaction for wholesale purposes, sales tax must be collected on the retail value of the barter. California, as one example, determines that the transaction must pay sales tax on all barter items, other locales only want the sales tax on the most expensive (or highest sale of the two pieces in barter)..

As for West Coast Barter, here’s the link to their agreement - it’s actually an offshoot of a barter group I was in for many many years which got.. Well, same story as always; they were busted for conspiracy to evade sales taxes.
