I apologize for the waste of bandwidth on this total vanity. I am writing under the pen name "Wilson Harp" and have just uploaded my first novel "Bright Horizons". It should go live sometime overnight on Amazon's Kindle store. I am just so relieved and excited to have made the final edit and be done with it.
Now back to the business of this site, let's get Barack Obama out of the White House.
I also aspire to be a writer. Congrats. I will buy the book tonight. Any thoughts on how to self publish?
Best thing I found was to read, read, read at various sites where self-publishers hang out. My favorite place is the Writer’s Cafe at Kindleboards.
Here is a link to that forum:

I know someone who self-published a novel and wound up being interviewed on TV stations all over the US and even had book-signings. The author even won an award for best new novelist. The book was even considered for a movie, but it never got that far. Still, it shows that a good author will go far if your audience can find you.
Well I sure hope everyone enjoys it. I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for overnight success, but I will keep writing. I have about a dozen book ideas in many genres and I will keep plying my trade and sharpening my craft.

I will only read it if it has a happy ending. :-)
He kills Edward with a KA-BAR through the heart, thus ending the scourge of sparkly vampires for all time.
Congratulations!

Outstanding.
I used LightningSource for my printed POD books which got them on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.
I use Smashwords for the eReader versions which has gotten them on Kindle, PalmReader, iPad (and all Apple iBook devices), Nook, Kobo, etc.
So, that took care of my Dragon’s Fury: World War against America and the West and my Stand at Klamath Falls books.

I then got my wife’s book, “An Unforgiving Temper,” which is a Jane Austin atlernate story line published the same way.

All have done well.
Congratulations to you and the best of luck. Will you have it out in ePub or printed format? If so, I would like to get one.
Final edit? ... Oh my, I find I cannot settle on a final edit, so I just have to abandon them and move on to the next story. Raising kids should be so easy ...
Here is the link to the Kindle page again, feel free to download a sample and see what you think!
As to becoming a movie, I have no doubt, and it will happen faster than you can imagine. With the TV series SG-1 in the body of the genre, and the soon to be released or released prequel to Aliens, this story you've woven needs to be told. Humankind may well be on the verge of open contact with extra terrestrials, so we can use all the different perspectives we can assimilate.
As has been the nature of humankind, we use our fictional (read imaginations) realities to prepare our minds for practical realities. You will be a major contributor to our mental file data, judging by your mastery of the craft. Keep writing, we need more and more.
Thank you for your kind words.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I know several of you have purchased my book and I really appreciate it. Let me know what you think of it and recommend it to friends if you enjoyed it!
Launch day went well and now I’m off to write another one.
