And note the committee vote as well:
on March 1, 2012, his nomination was reported to the floor of the Senate by a vote of 13 ayes to 5 nays.[18] All ten Democratic Senators voted aye along with Republican Senators Tom Coburn, Lindsey Graham and Jon Kyl, while Republican Senators John Cornyn, Chuck Grassley, Orrin Hatch, Mike Lee and Jeff Sessions voted no. (from Wikipedia)
I thought at least Coburn was better than that.

There almost certainly would never have been a
Roe versus Wade if a number of liberal Republicans hadn't joined with the Democrats in November, 1969, to kill President Richard Nixon's nomination of Clement Haynsworth, a conservative, whom he had chosen to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Associate Justice Abe Fortas. We call such Republicans "RINOs" today, but back then they comprised a major faction of the GOP.
These Republicans provided the margin of victory for Haynsworth's opponents. They included Mew York's two Senators Jake "the Snake" Javits and Charlie Goodell, Oregon's Mark Hatfield and Bob Packwood, and Pennsylvania's Dick Schweiker and Hugh Scott--whom the GOP solons had for some reason chosen as their Minority Leader despite his opposition to much of President Nixon's agenda. Other Republican Senators who deserted the president were Margaret Chase Smith (R-Me.), Clifford Case (R-NJ), Mac Mathias (R-Md.), Chuck Percy (R-Ill.), Ed Brooke (R-Mass.) and William Saxbe (R-Ohio)--whom Nixon would later name as his Attorney General over the protests of conservatives.

Well, they used to say that the Satanic worshipers had to have babies blood for their rituals.
How anyone can slay a baby for the convienence of their social lives is beyond me. Baby blood on your conscience, can anything be worse?
Satan smiles I’m sure. He got his baby blood, the pure little ones who never sinned once.
Yet, it’s all ‘okay’ with so many people. Just a matter of choice, is all.
