The sad thing is, there are people out there who would agree with your statement and would like to see positions like "comrade race commissar" created to protect the intellectuals from the bigoted, gun-toting heathens.

I work with a couple of folks like this, and I honestly believe that they would cheerfully toss me, my family, and all who disagree with them into a re-education camp if they had their way.
