Labor and civil rights groups that are not in agreement with the new Alabama immigration law are warning tourists to stay away from the state. The groups say the new tough law will encourage profiling.
On Thursday, in a news conference held over the phone, the coalition leaders said they plan to also have demonstrations in front of all Hyundai car dealerships around the county to encourage the auto manufacturer from South Korea to publically take a stance against the law in Alabama.

Looks like my next vacation will be to Alabama. Rebel yell, please!
Race baiters seeking relevance......yaawwn....
I can see the new ad for Hyundai...........Hyundai an import for Americans
I feel the same way.
I am visiting relatives in AL this summer.
Thanks, Labor and civil rights groups.
Less illegals there will be just fine. I’m sure
your help will bring more desirable people.
Greetings to all from beautiful Gulf Coast Alabama!
We love Foley, Gulf Shores and even kinda rural Lillian where my 92 year old uncle resides. We spent a couple of days in the area three years ago and loved it all.
I call bs on their claim that they’re worried about “profiling”. They’re worried about criminals being caught, as I see it.
SWEET HOME (NEXT DOOR), ALABAMA! NOT A FINER STATE, NOR FINER PEOPLE, NOR MORE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES, NOR MORE INSANE FOOTBALL FANS, NOR BETTER NEIGHBORS. TO HELL WITH THE ANTI-ILLEGAL-IMMIGRATION BED WETTERS! I’LL REALLY GO OUT OF MY WAY FOR ‘BAMA, NOW.
I’d make an honest estimate that this message might convince 100 folks who were planning a vacation in Bama....to skip the state. In exchange....around 3k folks will see the message and probably change their plans....and stay a night or two in Bama. That’s the comical side of this situation.
To be honest, there’s only two things that you really come to Bama to see....Huntsville’s space museum (worth an entire day and kids like it), and the Gulf Shores area. Beyond that....there’s not much for a tourist to stop and see. On the other hand, if you were into boating or fishing....there’s a hundred places in the state worth stopping for a weekend and enjoying a quiet day on a lake or river.
Fairhope is to Mobile as Sausalito is to San Francisco.
Roll Tide!
When you have no reasonable argument, attacking with specious claims is all you have left. I think Alabama should use this boycott as a basis of an ad: Illegals and those who support them are boycotting us. We ask that they gather more like-minded folks and ensure they don't come here either - keep Alabama the Beautiful! If you want a safe, enjoyable, illegal-free and nut-free environment, Alabama is the place to be.
I bet they get more visitors than they lose... I'm in S. MS about 45 minutes from Mobile and there are no issues that I can see to keep folks out.
Alabama has more species of fresh water fish than anywhere else in the world...even the massive Amazon.
Yeah! Enough profiling against white people! Stop profiling against people who look like Zimmerman!
Alabama has a large population of Blacks. They are not grooving on illegals. Boycott that and who cares.
We’re fine in Alabama. And yes, there is/was some mumblegrumble between the blacks and the Mexicans. The blacks complained that the Mexicans were taking their jobs.
The jobs they never applied for.
He he. And if whites were not so politically correct, they would be angry about illegals taking over the construction jobs and trades. Not everyone is cut out for college and those who are not but have ambition used to go into the building trades until the illegals took it over.
