I don’t understand the meme that McCain had a chance before he chose Sarah as his running mate. I was here in 2008, and I remember how, nationwide, Republican voters went from “Aw, wake me up when it’s over,” to “Oh, wow! This is the most fun I have had since 1984!” There are still people driving around my town with “McCain/Palin” stickers, only with the “McCain” cut off.
Do all these guys not remember the crowds turning out for Sarah, thousands upon thousands in broiling fall weather, the surge of donations (I donated, twice!) and the t-shirts and the signs and the unbelievable enthusiasm? Where were they?
