“For Greater Glory” is a movie that I will not watch.
And from what I got from her article, that dog won’t hunt here in TX.

I believe that you're right. If her predictions are at all true, it will likely be an urban thing. Great opportunity to sort out and eliminate the "chaff," by the way.
I saw the movie last night. It was good in that it tended to reinforce the idea that a person has to stand up for what he believes is right.
Remember Obama saying something like “If I had a son he’d look like Trayvon”? He stole that line from this movie which he must have seen several weeks ago (It was released in Mexico on April 20.)
I wish I could be a certain as you regarding how an armed conflict might pan out. Mexico at that time had lived through a series of revolutions and people still had the will to take up arms and get into another war. Here in the U.S. the people talk a good war but - for the most part - haven’t lived through one ‘up close and personal.’ Until I see government agents listed as an endangered species I’ll reserve judgement on how I believe it will come out.

I remain unconvinced that this is still our mother’s era, where being armed Texas style could change outcomes to favor the citizenry. Your universities have drones all over the skies in every region of the US, and this is before you count the intelligence agencies and the military. Who even knows what sort of new and secret urban warfare science is yet out there. This against revolvers in purses and hunting guns in pick ups makes for a new era technological challenge to the old school Saturday night rumble. Quite a gap problem.
This generation may have the will to retain the right to bear arms, but the indoctrination by public schools is growing a more compliant populace.

I agree with you. We’ve allowed our rights to be taken away a little at a time. This won’t be like the 1700s where it took the enemy a month to ship an army across the Atlantic. Now, the enemy is right here and much better armed.

Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas told The Daily that his department is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.
“Those are things that law enforcement utilizes day in and day out and in certain situations it might be advantageous to have this type of system on the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle)” .
The movie was excellent, but one thing that struck me was that so few people in the US even know that Mexico went through a Communist revolution in the early part of the 20th century (and is still suffering from the economic problems created by this). Even fewer even realize that the anti-Catholic laws were officially revoked only about five years ago.
They ceased to be enforced, but they remained on the books. In fact, I remember that as late as the 1990s, Catholic clergy were officially prohibited from wearing clerical dress on the street in Mexico.
The Catholic Church is always the one that the State sees as its great enemy and will always be the first target of its attacks. In the US, the Church is already very fragmented because of the left-wing subversion of Vatican II, so the State clearly thinks it will be a weaker opponent. That may be true, and I don’t think we’re going to get to the point of killings and torture because simple economic threats will probably be enough to bring most of the US bishops into line.
My husband and I saw the movie yesterday. I came away totally shocked that this happened as recent as the late 1920’s. I also realized why Pope. Benedict’s recent trip to Mexico was so emotionally well-received by millions.
Most Americans (and probably 99 per cent of the keyboarders) wouldn't know where to turn or what to do if their water got shut off. Never mind when, where, how, and on whom to exercise the Second Amendment rights.
Sixty million American babies have been massacred and nobody's fired a shot. God may help and Heaven may preserve us in spite of that, but I wouldn't count on it.
That's right. It is the HHS mandates. The bishops won't have to SAY that they swear loyalty to the Communist-Obamaist regime. No, the bishops will be expected to assent to the "revolution" by the act of assenting to the regime mandating that all citizens pay for contraception and abortion. Maybe the bishops will get their little "exceptions", but if the faithful have to subsidize child killing and the bishops go along claiming that their little "exception" for themselves is sufficient, it will be a de facto juring. It will be an underhanded demonstration of loyalty to the Communist-Obamaist revolution. If you think about it, you realize that it is exactly the same thing as what the Mexican government demanded the Cristeros say in order to show their loyalty: "Muerte a Cristo Rey", that is, "Death to Christ the King."
