After endorsing Obama in October of 2008, Powell should be permanently disqualified from ever giving advice to another Republican, it doesn't matter how many stars are on that jacket.

Well of course Ronald Reagan could beat him!

The only people challenged to be able to do so are Mitt Romney, John Huntsman, or Ron Paul.

Most breeds of dogs could defeat him.

Mitt Romney would have Reagan destroyed if he were running today.

Powell also believes to get anything done today, we must compromise. 'we must listen to the other guy'...not attack.

This philosophy is only operable in one direction - the GOP and conservatives (the latter in particular) must agree to the ideologies and policies of the LEFT. The LEFT NEVER EVER compromises with the RIGHT.

Powell is a back stabber, the only reason he hasn’t endorsed
bam yet is because he’s hawking a book. He talks about “compromise” in politics, the RATS don’t compromise it’s always their way or the highway. Let’s hope if the pubbies ever get control they take a lesson from the RATS.......doubtful.

Colin Powell is proof that affirmative action does not work.

Colin ‘probably’ is suffering from some liberal disease or wants to be relevant in saying something outlandish.

'we must listen to the other guy'...not attack.

This whole idea of compromise and being bipartisan has only arisen after the Reps got control of the House in 2010. Before that, no mention despite the fact that the Dems shoved Obamacare down our throat without a single Rep vote and passed the Porkulous bill with one Rep vote.

What Powell is saying is nonsense. In this country you can vote if you’re dead, but you can’t run for office if you’re dead.

The names of President Ronald Reagan and the former ‘Republican’, Colin Powell, should not be mentioned in the same breath. It is an insult to Reagan’s memory to do so.

Powell made himself a useful idiot after whining about the fantastic job the US military was doing during the GW I under Bush 41.

Not that I really knew who he was before that, but that was my first impression, further reinforced by his treatment in "The Commanders" by Bob Woodward.

That’s not true. The dead governor of Missouri defeated John Ashcroft for the US Senate seate in 2000.
