To me all societies that accept the killing the unborn are animals including the US.
No WAY do I believe that data for anything this century. The male-to-female child ratio is so low in India as to necessarily mean a high abortion rate. And Russia’s once rock-bottom birth rate has climbed to almost normal.
India now has a higher rate of abortions per capita than Russia. According to very uncertain data, India has 11 million total abortions annually, vs. about 1.3 million for Russia. (Due to India’s vasty greater size, the rate per capital is fairly close to even.)
