I’ve not experienced a slow down. I’m currently writing this on my phone over my phone data connection. The only problem I’ve ever had involved cookies.

There has been a problem with the internet all morning. We will be rebooting it soon, but we need to back it up to a floppy first..

The guy asked what he thought was a legitimate question, and you tell him to hit the bricks? It is slow loading at times. Why don’t you just not respond or respond with something of value.

We utilize Liberal Adjusted Speed Deliver.
Apparently, you score on the high liberal side...
and the speed is adjusted downwards to match your score.

>"There’s probably a Turbo button somewhere on your computer."

I actually saw one back in the early 90's that had one. It just gave you something to do while waiting a half hour for a game to load. Hard drive held a whopping 250 mb.

FR keeps a record of how liberal or Rino you are and adjusts your logon time accordingly. If you are whack left it takes forever but if you hate libs with a passion you are on in no time...Your welcome!

To avoid useful technology because you perceive the world is out to get you is absurd.

With FR, I believe it is more than perceived.

I've noticed it takes a while to load whenever I go to the comments page. When I click on one of the threads it loads pretty quickly. When it does load the comments page the delay seems to happen before the data is actually sent.

I am assuming the delay is due to my preference settings. It takes the site some time to arrange the comments page to my liking.

Why is FR the slowest loading forum I visit.

Loading a .22 takes about 2 seconds. Loading an Iowa class 16" gun takes about a half a minute. Maybe there's clue there.

This site is extremly slow to load and to navigate. My guess (and it is an educated guess) is a combination of underpowered servers and inefficient software. Gotta ask what $360K of Freepathons each year go to.

Trayvon overload.
Maybe. But I bet in general traffic on this site is regularly increasing.

There's been a lot of mention of FR in the media in the last year, more than usual.

Yup. It's hard to defend against DoS attacks.

A very, very bad idea for FR, in my opinion. A lot of unknown (mostly leftwing) people will have their dirty little fingers deep inside the FR pie.

Not to mention unintended problems. Have you heard of dirty drives in the cloud? It's all the news these days.

Your pro-cloud arguments are cutting edge... in 2010.

In 2012 there’s growing doubt.

I’m not saying it’s not good for some companies and businesses, it is.

But it’s not a panacea and it’s definitely NOT problem free.

Try getting up to speed with the current thinking on this subject. You might learn something.

To avoid useful technology because you perceive the world is out to get you is absurd.
PS: There is a very determined group of anti-conservative activists out there and they are in every industry and they are extremely well-funded.

It's not paranoia when people really ARE out to get you... and people really ARE out to get us.
