I can't seem to find, albeit after only a short search, any mention of him
ever going to college.
Perhaps someone will correct this later if I'm wrong and I simply didn't look hard enough.
If he didn't go to college I can understand the elitist attitude.

Well, he in his mid 80s, God bless him with many more years. Perhaps a college AA or BA was not required. In his generation a college education was really for the elites.
