So this is what we end up with? A Czar?
We need reps from other branches of the government involved. Then some degree of disclosure of the decision process.
This can be done without compromising our ability to be effective.
And only a few years ago we were so upset about pouring water on someone’s face; because Dick Cheney may be involved.
Laughable now.
It’s also pretty laughable that, back in the 70’s, we reined in all the intelligence agencies for doing stuff like this. They operated at the discretion of the President, but they still, even before the oversight committees, had less independance than these “czars”.
