Almost every time, (if the line is not too long), after swiping my card at the check-out, I'll pause and repeat aloud,

"Is $25.32 OK?"

I try to read the situation and face(s) and continue (if a quizicle look or a serious look of concern)...

"It asks me here .. Is $25.32 OK?"

It doesn;t matter at this point what the looks or disposition may be ... I continue;

"The obvious answer is ... How do I know" ?

Let whomever say what they will say and follow it all with;

"Would a Socialist Muslim illegal alien be good as president of the united States ? .... (slight pause) ... don't ask questions ... just push yes or no.

I haven't been beaten up yet and only one or two didn't appreciate the comment.

Teens just look at me and have no clue.

Try it ... the public is fun.
