Start slowly so as not to get overwhelmed.
Work for a week of stuff for holing up first, then a month, etc.
And LISTEN TO JACK! (www.thesurvivalpodcast.com)
(If people saw socialists for what they truly are, slaughter would ensue - in self-defense.)
Now there is a tag line worth repeating.
I have a good friend who was at a campaign event this week who had a really profound meeting with a Catholic priest from Poland on the very subject of socialism. I think the bottom line was, precious few people in this country realize the danger we face from the ever creeping progress of that evil.
Some may try. Many will die for want of backup that never will arrive. Much depends on geographical location. Cities? Forget it. Better have gold or vacuum sealed steaks in a cooler handy if you want a local constabulary presence.
Personally, I'd prefer if they would just ignore me. I don't need 'em.
Thanks. Good advice.
Hey, there’s no doubt that you did the right thing on those 9x18 Markarovs. Solid, well built and inexpensive backup pistols. If that’s what I had, I’d stick with them. That said, I couldn’t pass up the TTC for the same purpose. Cheap ammo was one of the big lures - that, and the ability of the round to penetrate light body armor.
But what the hey - if Mrs. L will go for it... you can’t have too many pistols.

I'm glad you said something about that exhaustedmomma, I thought it was just me.
Particularly about the grocery stores.
Among available produce, the quality has decreased: old, moldy, weather damaged, etc., but the cost has increased significantly.
I actually bought the LAST bunch of leaf lettuce from the local supermarket yesterday (though it was domestic and USA grown produce does move faster)I paid $3.49. If it had been from out of country, I'd have passed it up.
Among canned and dry goods there plenty of out-of-stock items.
My weekly shopping trips are getting a tad bit scary.
I bought a big industrial fan for the latter. ;^)
I've got a CZ83 (.380ACP) as a backup. I've had this fine pistol for over 20 years now. The only modification I made to it was a set of Meprolite sites.
Well played! Deep humor on a Saturday morning. Thankyou!
No, seriously! In SF after the Loma Prieta people were “going” all over G.Gate Park, on sidewalks, alleys, filling up their bathtubs - I wasn’t there (THANKFULLY) but know well someone who was.
Not sure they make Meprolites for the 82. So I put a drop of White Out on the front sight. When it wears off I redo it. It ain’t fancy but it’s cheap and it works. LOL
A CZ82 is the same as the CZ83 with exception of the calibre. Check out the link I posted above.
