I wasn’t on a soapbox, a$$hole. I was asking others if they had been thinking about things I have been recently and what their opinions were on the questions I raised.
It was not an open invitation to be a putz and use it as a venue to insult the person asking the question. And that’s all you decided to do, and not offer anything other than belittling comments and provide no added benefit.
That’s why I said - which you then ignored - my request to stay the hell off any of my posts in the future.

In all honesty it’s not fun for me to imagine he’d try. I actually don’t like thinking about these what if’s and if they’d really happen. Most of us even with planning will not do well in the mid to long run.

Aren’t you a cute one. Getting all huffy. My original recommendation stands, get off the internet for a while. Too much crap on there that gets folks all paranoid and pissy.

Really? If you can email me or point me to the article that would be great. Thanks for mentioning this. I would think they will try to get it again though.

As you alluded to some people may have wet dreams about CWII. I have none, it only makes me think of bad outcomes for many many people across all different strata.

Don’t complain people “get huffy” with you when you answer them like a jerk. Done with you.

"I work with a lot of veterans most of whom are extremely conservative (as am I)."
We talk about the points you raise frequently."
BS. I've run out of tolerance for liberals posing as conservatives on the Net and using all kinds of chicken implications to label former enlisted combat soldiers in general as "terrorists." Former combat soldiers are, by-and-large, cleaner than most and not as unrealistic as lifelong civilians and REMFs about an economic depression.
Watch unemployed teachers, police and other idle, former bureaucrats in their drug-induced hazes, as they sneak around to fire wayward bullets and false allegations at their more conservative neighbors. More criminals can be found by watching commies.
"Those who do not think about these things while believing themselves to be conservative, patriotic Americans and/or who mock you for expressing your concerns worry me."
Enjoy the "public unrest" in the cities. It won't come anywhere close to warfare, but it will be entertaining from my rural vantage point. All who depend on debt/revenues for their incomes are going to be evicted and starving. They're bringing it on themselves. That will precede a new era of productive freedom without criminal-minded, pensioned busybodies and their regulators.
Enjoy the likely reals wars of the near future, too. A nation obsessed with contemplating its own navel tends to put off needed defense measures.
As for politics, you can have 'em. Allow only commie candidates from both parties, do without our votes and money. See how long you can receive those incomes from government without playing the game of more rapidly inflating debt. I'm enjoying the fuel prices, too, keeping parasites from driving around aimlessly and raising so much dust (no real work for them to do). No trespassing.

'We are Preparing for Massive Civil War,' Says DHS Informant"
Thanks, txgirl4Bush. See there, Secret Agent Man, it's the socialist bureaucrats and their favored constituents, fat on debt and preparing for "war" against each other--not private sector Americans with gardens and hobbies of self-sufficiency. It'll be fun to watch the regulators pose while spending the last of their debt: limp-wristed war, homo-feminist style. It'll serve as entertainment for laid back former soldiers and our redneck, private sector friends. Maybe we'll even mount television sets outdoors on old refrigerators to watch the civilian clown shows.

Similar things were said about Clinton and Bush, and I heard them personally. People assume the worst, and so far, it hasn’t happened. There would be Democrats who would fight this from Obama.
