My wife bought a cheap plastic tick remover that hooks on to the tick near it’s head. with a little twist, the tick comes off with it’s head intact.
Chickens in the yard greatly reduce the tick population, but then you have to fence the garden.
Well if your are single and a tick digs in on your back where you cant reach it you got a problem. I used to get bit by ticks all the time when I used to bow hunt in Florida woods in an area that had range cattle.
I swear, the smart ones would find a place to dig in where you couldn’t reach them.
