Case against George Zimmerman man be doomed

Last week, media outlets filed motions to unseal the records concerning the arrest of George Zimmerman in connection with the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Sooner than later, the public will see what evidence special prosecutor Angela Corey has that warranted the filing of second-degree murder charges.

Absent something new in Corey's file, one of America's best-known lawyers feels the case against Zimmerman is doomed. Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz believes that the murder charges will be thrown out.

In a recent interview with me, Dershowitz acknowledged the low evidentiary bar necessary at this juncture but still opined that Corey has not met it.

"Most affidavits of probable cause are very thin," Dershowitz said. "This is so thin that it won't make it past the judge on a second-degree murder charge. There is simply nothing in there that would justify second-degree murder. The elements of the crime aren't established ...

My (perhaps useless...) opinion was based on reading that Gov Scott got Corey to press charges or whatever it was against Zimmerman. That is my sole reason. If his motive was somehow a good motive and not politically motivated to placate racist thugs, then my opinion is way off base.

I like Gov Walker from what I’ve read about him.

“If Zimmerman goes to trial my bet the jury vote will be on racial lines. Any Blacks on the jury will vote to convict him no matter what the evidence or lack of evidence. Kind a reverse of the OJ Simpson trial where Black jurors all voted to acquit. In reaction to an acquittal there will be riots in major cities, similar to the riots with Rodney King whipped up by the Black Panthers and other radical groups with certainly the tacit support of the White House.”

i’m wondering if BO won’t call for calm if Zimmerman is found not guilty or acquitted, in order to try and gain points with the bleeding-heart liberals who still worship at his throne?

i’m sure if Obama did this, the media would say what a statesmen like thing he did, and renominate him for another Nobel Peace Prize.

If he is not in Florida (as reported) the state he is in may not have cause to provide protection. It would also tip off people to which state he is in. Keeping his location quiet is very important right now.....OTOH A trip to HI would be nice this time of the year!
