Minnesota will send 40 delegates to the Republican National Convention. Twenty of the 24 delegates based on congressional districts were awarded to Texas Rep. Ron Paul in selection processes that concluded this weekend.
Thirteen Minnesota delegates will be allocated based on the results of a statewide convention in May, according to Paul campaign senior adviser Doug Wead.
Wead wrote on his blog that GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney is an a panic after the Paul landslide. Similar efforts to bolster the Texas congressmans delegate count are underway in Iowa, Colorado, Maine and other states.
[A] number of Romney Hawks are now deeply concerned that Ron Paul has already laid the groundwork for similar success in six more caucus states, Wead wrote.

Romney can't win. The garbage stinks and it's time to throw it out and get a candidate Republicans can rally behind. Newt comes to mind. Sarah, if she would step up to the plate.
The media has had a total blackout of all things ron paul.
Doug Weed has been saying all along it’s about delegates in caucus states.
Ron Paul has been drawing crowds in the thousands everywhere he goes.
These crowds are becoming local delegates pushing state delegates.
The fun is just starting.
May 5th and 6th are Maine and Nevada.
At this rate, 2% per year, he'd be in his 80s by the time he got 50% ~
Jus' sayin' he's our generation's Harold Stassen
Can two wrongs make a right?
On the one hand, I’m disgusted with a Republican leadership that would back a liberal like Romney, and a MSM that is completely controlled by liberals.
On the other hand, Ron Paul tactics of using conventions to stack delegates in his favor when he’s not getting the popular vote to match, just reeks of ‘rat tactics. Those tactics disgust me too.
But what if Ron Paul’s tactics, helps a brokered convention choose a non-Romney? What then? I guess I’ll still be disgusted with the process, but happy to have a real choice other than a third party.
Agreed.
Ron Paul video game is in the works
Romney Hawks=Tory Traitors for King George; the Tyrant!
Romney softies=those we may persuade to support someone else.
Although it does show a flaw in the GOP nomination process, that they need to address.
I am not sure that the system is flawed. It is similar to the electoral college process. In the electoral college, the electors are the real voters, in the same way the the GOP uses delegates.
If you can’t bring your “voters” (delegates) to the “poll” (caucus) then do you deserve to win?
Also, this process has been in place for a long time.
1920: Warren G. Harding shows up with the least number of delegates but still wins nomination after the 10th ballot.
1976: Ronald Reagan used the same stategy that Ron Paul is using today to attempt to “steal” the nomination from Gerald Ford by having more delegates. Ronald Reagan lost, as the establishment considered him “dangerous” and a “kook”. At that time, only four congressmen supported Reagan. Ron Paul was one of those four.
