For those who don't know, this is a webcam of a bald eagles' nest in Iowa. There are three chicks growing up. It's fascinating to watch mom & dad taking care of them.
Very cool!!! Thank you!
LOL! My cats are freaking out...they think there are birds in the house somewhere...
We have one who sits in front of the screen and watches all day. We usually have the hummingbirds up.

I have been following on and off that nest as well as the one at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Last year we lost the mother eagle due to a collision with a landing plane at the Norfolk Airport. The 3 eaglets were taken to the Wildlife Center Virginia to be raised and released which they did in August. This year is a soap opera as dad eagle cannot make up his mind with all the females who are circling around him. He has mated so far with 4 of them. It’s a hoot over there. There will be no eaglets this year as the breeding season is winding down. The Decorah parents have been doing a terrific job at that nest.
Thanks for the link! We had an eagle webcam in our area & have been watching eggs get laid & hatched & the chicks growing up. About two weeks ago, the webcam went down and with all the commotion (evidently) in trying to get it fixed, the parents abandoned the two chicks. Both parents are experienced and have been raising chicks for the last 10 years so it was really a terrible thing when they quit feeding them. The folks in charge of the webcam project ended up feeding the chicks twice to keep them going & pulled out all of the webcam equipment. The parents were hanging out nearby so, despite plans to relocate the chicks to other nests in the area, they left the chicks in place another day or two to see if the parents would resume feeding them. With the cameras now gone, the parents did return and resumed feeding the chicks & as of the last info, they were doing fine. It’s been quite the “drama”.
Glad to hear it! They (eagles) do seem to be good parents.
