Here is a rather hefty .pdf file on the subject, which covers most of the bases, though there is a heck of a lot of information about this from a multitude of sources, none of which are MSM, obviously.

But the bottom line is “so what?” As I mentioned before, there is nothing illegitimate about a former employee or agent of the CIA running for political office. William F. Buckley, Jr. ran for mayor of NYC, for example.
And, because so much operational money and resources was put into raising Obama, I can also understand why they would not want to compromise a whole heck of a lot of operations and sources just to brag that a former agent had become a US senator, and then the POTUS.
So the only real question is to insure that the CIA ethics office made very sure there was a clean break between Obama and the CIA when he left, that is, cut all the active ties, and that Obama should not involve himself too deeply with legislative or appropriations activities involving the intelligence community, as that would be conflict of interest.
One final note is that the CIA effort to insert Obama into communist party politics in the Soviet Union had been a success, that even Soviet intelligence thought that he was a legit communist that *they* could use as an asset. Had this come about, it could have been a major disaster to their intelligence operations.

Would the same logic have applied to George Herbert Walker Bush, since he was CIA before being president.
