It’s even worse than that. If blacks make up 12% of the population, about half of those are female, and some are small children, middle-aged and older people who don’t commit as many crimes. So what percentage of the population is black males aged, say, 15-40?

I live in VA Beach, VA, and here it's more like 90% of the murders and other violent crimes are committed by blacks.

I'd suggest the following is a more accurate “statistic.”

If Blacks are 12% of the total US population, we should assume 50% of Blacks are Male and the other 50% of Blacks are female. If you further assume that the vast majority of murders are committed by Males, then you actually have 6% (half of the total Black population), committing 50% of all murders in this country.

...now that's a truly alarming statistic.
