The fix was in from the beginning. No matter who won the primaries or the caucuses, Romney would be the winner. Santorum won Iowa but Romnney was given the headline and the momentum. Paul won Maine but we've already published the result for Romney so we won't bother changing that. We'll change the rules so Gingrich and Santorum aren't on the ballot in VA. And even if somebody else wins the state, we'll make sure that our boy Romney gets a majority of the delegates to the convention. It'll be Romney and only Romney.

We need to take over the committees in the states next. They've been pushing these worthless moderate nominees at every level for years. And the processes they put in place are so convoluted that only the preferred candidates have the organizations to get on the ballot or garner enough support to get the nomination.

Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney.

Almost all the national delegates interviewed by The Associated Press said they plan to abide by the March 6 caucus results, meaning Santorum would get to keep his delegates.

Where has it been shown the delegates do NOT plan to follow the caucus vote?

What a sham. What is the purpose of even having a caucus and voting in the primary if you “aren’t a member of the committee”?

-—Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney-—

In the wake of Reagan, it’s hard to imagine much worse.

The American leadership is so thoroughly corrupted at this point that an “election” has become a mere formality.

Paul won Maine but we've already published the result for Romney

Funny, I am looking at the Maine caucus results and it looks pretty clear to me that Romney won 39% of the vote to Paul's 34.9%.

Paul hasn't won squat unless you count getting more votes than Romney in the US Virgin Islands. Problem is, Paul voters were apparently too dim to realize that voting directly for the delegates is what counts. Because they failed at this, Romney's delegates ended up getting elected and Paul 112 total voters to Willard's 101 netted Paul only 1 delgate while Mitt got 7.
