You’ve got positions where the only thing a customer “sees” is a voice over a phone and you won’t hire a fat guy like me?
Trust me, I’m VERY good at flying a desk!
Weight, tattoos and piercings affect the customer experience just how again?
You make a good point. I probably would hire the knowledge and the customer service - management is very conservative in its thinking. We hired our first female engineer who was working on her CCIE last year. We have one racial minority who was a marine and came with a buttload of experience. I argued for three days to get him in the shop. Who you are (or appear to be) is much more important than what you know or can do.
Null and void, don’t lose hope, there are gals like me who actually prefer a guy with a few extra pounds to those vain skinny guys who are always looking in the mirror at themselves and adjusting their tie. It’s what is inside the heart that matters and whether the guy is a follower of Christ.
I worked at a store design facility. One of our ladies was obese. She did all her work on the phone.
She had the sexiest voice and a great personality.
If one of her customers ever showed up in person she used to threaten to go out and give them a big hug.
