Just for the record. The copy of XP OEM that you bought is still illegal. The only legal use of an OEM license is that it must come from the Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM). If you bought a Dell computer with Windows 7 on it, you cannot legally buy an OEM copy of the license yourself and install it.

At Fry's, they sell tons of OEM copies of Windows to Mac owners - they just make sure you buy some kind of PC computer hardware along with it.
After doing this for 3 Macs, I now have quite the collection of case thumbscrews!
