I’m on the fence on this one. The sad reality is that there are 14 kids that are depending on her. Its easy to just pile on and say ‘she made her bed, she needs to lie in it’ (no pun intended). But what about the kids? I don’t think anyone on this board would like to see 14 kids living in the streets. As far as posing in a magazine, as sad as it sounds, I think she is playing the only card she has left. Its not like she can go back to school and get a job and get daycare for her 14 kids. It boils my blood that she was able to create this mess in the first place. And, she seems to have moeny to spend on herself. I’m surprised these kids weren’t placed in foster care a long time ago. She obviously doesn’t have the means to pay for them and there are many couples who would love to provide a nice home for them.
I, too, am conflicted. I wrote about her not in condemnation, but in sorrow. For her and for her innocent children. I think she should reach out to a local church,or faith-based organization for help. Both spiritual and financial.
Now is the time we can begin to prepare. We need to reach out as individuals. Hopefully some one locally will reach out, in the mean time we are the “hopefully local” for someone. I do not actively search these situations out but if God puts them in my path, I at least try to listen, argue my way out of it and then listen again...............
