As disheartening as it was, when Palin declined to run.

I believe she may have based that decision on the (correct) conclusion she would not win, having to face the combined sleaze of both the GOP establishment, and the left.

Even Palin would have been unable to win. She would have suffered the same treatment as Herman Cain, and Rick Perry, and Newt and Rick Santorum and every single person who has ever stood in Mitt Romney’s way.

Thing is now, Romney may have damaged his own position as well.

If Romney can be prevented from winning what he has destroyed to many to attain, it’s anyone’s to win.

I sincerely hope Governor Palin will keep her eyes on that possibility, and stand ready to pounce should the opportunity present itself.
