Exactly. Of course verification really doesn't matter to people like you if the best you can come up with is: "Now I dont know what to think." Reagan was a great man and a great president. He made choices, and didn't sit on the fence forever saying... gee, I don't know what to think. Try to be like Reagan. Trust your gut.
Trusting your gut is fine for the initial hypothesis, but at some point the evidence takes over.
This guy applied the Optimize PDF feature to a scan and got a document that looks an awful like the released BC—layers, clipped text, etc.

The BC is obviously not a simple scan and of course has been manipulated. But is that manipulation due to human forgery, or a software process breaking it up?
If you think “verification doesn’t matter” to me, you don’t know me very well. I’ve spent my adult life digging into data, and I have almost 20 years experience with Photoshop. I’ll go where the evidence leads me.
It’s very simple. Show me why the BC could not have come out of an Optimize PDF function.
