Insult to postal workers everywhere: The "broken stamp theory" or "missing ink theory" is an insult to postal workers everywhere.
1. To think that a postal employee would stamp a legal document with the "19" missing and not correct the mistake immediately by re-stamping the Selective Service form is an insult to postal workers everywhere.
2. Show me other Selective Service forms---especially ones from Hawaii---where the "19" is also missing.
3. If you can't do it, then it looks like Obama's Selective Service form is the only one in the universe with the "19" missing.
4. Also, show me another Selective Service form where the date of the stamp is EARLIER than the date of the person's signature.
5. Again, if you can't do it, then it means that Obama's Selective Service form is the only one in the universe where the postal date stamp is dated EARLIER than the DATE of the the person's SIGNATURE.
What’s with the “missing” 19?
We should ask Farrakhan who’s the Guru on the number 19!!
However, the seal is correct because the date is correct. It was year 80 AD.
How’s that for an explanation. Do you have a problem with that?
Gee, I think I’ll join the defenders. I can explain everything with ease with no accountability.

Are people so naive to think that Obama's Selective Service form was the first or only document or letter or envelope or box where the so-called "broken" stamp was used on Jul 29, '08?
Have people forgotten---especially Obama supporters---that a postal employee routinely stamps many documents, letters, envelopes, and boxes with a date stamp every day, so isn't it reasonable to expect that once the postal employee noticed that his stamp was "broken", he would have switched to another one that was not broken?
(I don't know how busy that particular post office was in 1980, but I think that it was in Honolulu and not on one of the other islands, so I would think it had many customers, especially in 1980, when I don't think that companies like UPS and Federal Express were used that much.)
My point is this: If all that Obama supporters have is the "broken stamp theory" or the "ink missing theory" to prove that Obama's Selective Service form is authentic, then they have nothing, and the only conclusion we have left is that Obama's Selective Service form is a fake.
Thank you for kicking the ‘date stamp was broken’ fantasy in the head...hard, and repeatedly. It is now officially down for the count, and there’s only one way to describe it:
“It’s dead, Jim.”
Your post is an insult to forgers everywhere.
The Sheriff's theory is that a forger modified a modern date stamp by cutting off the 20 in 2008, flipping over the 08 to make 80, and reinserting the 80 into the stamp. Supposedly, the culprit lacked a 19, so decided to make do without it.
However, slight problem: The stamp reads USPO along the bottom (hard to read, lousy scan, but you can see it clearly in other stamps from the time). USPO stood for United States Post Office. That was its official name up until 1970, when Congress "privatized" it and renamed it the United States Postal Service (USPS). New stamps all said USPS on the bottom. But they kept using the old ones until they wore out.
Now put yourself in the forger's shoes. He needs a stamp. Either USPO or USPS will do. However, the ones lying around all say USPS and have those pesky 2000's year plugs. Now, he might have got lucky and found an old USPO stamp. But that stamp would obviously have a 19xx year plug, wouldn't it? At worst, he might have had to cut the year off of, say, a 1983 stamp and replace it with a flipped 08 from a current stamp. But, in that case, the 19 would show as it should.
Now you are really grasping at straws. People make date mistakes all the time.
