I have been following the Santorum NBC wiht interest..the recent release (at least i just saw it) of Pietro Santorums naturalization in 1930 leads me to think that Aldo beceme a citizen when/if he entered the US legally for permanent residency before age 21 and before may 24 1934...thus NBC for Rick....I think the naturalization law goes back to 1898 or 1902 something like that to cover derivative citizenship of children before may 24 1934 so when did Aldo enter the US is part of the question has that been answered on the internet? If after may 24 1934 a different law was in effect=needed 5 years residency..
Also Pietro apparently went back to italy for some months before his return-(his wife had a baby in 1927 unless its the milkman’s) if i recall correctly if it was less than a year away from US it could still count for the requirements for Pietros naturalization.
Then again did Aldo need to apply for derivative citizenship or was it automatic...that needs to be researched also....
At first glance my take is Aldo derived US citizenship when he was lawfully admitted to the US or if he had 5 years US lawful residency before age 21.(date?)
