I couldn’t care less about Deniro’s comments, but I love it when lefties get hoisted on their own petard, with the same language they use against conservatives.

I guess that makes me a partisan

Replace “white” with “black” and ask again. I find it offensive in either case. The joke was meant to be offensive, otherwise it wouldn’t have been said.

Hi Hildy,
Looks like you and I are alone here. Let’s go on record as saying that the joke wasn’t intended to demean white people in any way. What was funny about it (only slightly funny, IMO) was the use of irony. As Wiki puts it, “...a sharp incongruity or discordance that goes beyond the simple and evident intention of words...”

Kind of a shame to have to explain this.
