Wish I could find some service that hosts those videos and re-serves them at a lower quality. Standard DSL users can’t watch Beck’s videos. I can’t figure out why he cuts off so many potential customers. Doesn’t want the lower-income ones?

Can you explain for the technically-challenged?

I am rural, have standard DSL, am self-employed and therefore, have a low AGI, use a Roku II and get GBT just fine in decent quality. There are some bandwidth problems occasionally at times when (I assume) more people served by our ISP are downloading movies. Otherwise, the quality is good, as far as I am concerned.

$10/month is hardly a high price point to receive GBT. You could also just get Beck’s show alone for $5/month and since they changed format this week, that means 1 hr. of Beck and 1 hour of The Real News. There is also unlimited replay available w/o a DVR.

My opinion is that they run a close-to-the-bone operation and spend every dime as it comes in. They appear to be meeting technical challenges as they can....I notice a difference from now compared to last Fall. I feel, as a subscriber, that I am certainly getting my money’s worth.
