Why do I care? Peyton is a great quarterback and a great entertainer; that’s what he’s paid to be. Good luck to him. It is, on the other hand, a sizeable gamble on Denvers’ part. If he crashes, it’s their a$$. One thing for sure; Tim Tebow is going to be a major winner no matter where, or if, he plays, period. Tim Tebow doesn’t need Denver, or Manning, or NFL football, to achieve fulfillment or to be a force. He already has, and is.
It was a business decision and Denver knows what it knows. It is a big decision for them to go for Manning. It could blow up big time in their face. As for Tebow, he will manage, I assume, because of his deep faith. He can handle the unexpected and being unwanted. I figure he also knows football is a business. I doubt if Tebow’s support will wane, because it is based on more than football. Manning needs our prayers, because I think he is putting himself way out there on the limb.
