They are probably talking ammunition but a black powder rifle and bullet mold along with lead to feed it would not be such a bad idea either. Long after the ammo was gone one could still have meat.

As I travel, I’ve been making a habit of harvesting all the little soap and toiletry items that hotels put out. A very convenient size and ideal packaging for trade goods. You have to keep your eyes out for even little opportunities like that.
