I’ve always had a difficult time compehending how voters and commentators seem to ignore the money spent. We’re in a Tea Party era of reform so a big spending who only is nominally ahead should not be taken so seriously.

Outspent yes but even more of an uphill climb, three, yes count them, three other candidates are running non-stop hit ads on Santorum. Romney, Paul, and Gingrich are running the ads and they’re relentless. The fact that Santorum can even place is amazing.
