“”But Mr. President, in 2008 you told John Harwood that you were OK with high gas prices, it’s just that you didn’t want them to rise quickly.” “

And the President would have responded by saying 2011 is different than 2008. We are still dealing with Bush’s failed policies and it could go on for a few more years.

And the media would have fallen all over themselves saying how courageous the President is.

Obama always does this. It’s always silly to think his policies are liberal, or that he opposes anything good, or that anything he does can hurt the country. Isn’t that silly? After all why would he want to do anything other than the absolute best thing?

Yet somehow Bush was a stupid, evil president who screwed everything up.

Meanwhile Obama’s policies are in fact disasters, he has an energy secretary who just friggin said they want expensive gas and the dude doesn’t even own a car!

But oh how silly. He wants all energy. Algae and oil, with a brilliant emphasis on algae.

But I have it on authority from another superbly credible blog that Obama was being truthful.

BHO said: I want gas prices lower because they hurt families.

I actually think he believes that lower gas prices hurt families.

I don’t care what Bozo said, or what he wants. The fact is that gas in my community is $4.19/gal for unleaded regular! This is on his watch! He owns it! FUBO!!!!

When a person suggests a solution, however, he claims there are no quick solutions.

Yet, as posted on another thread on the same subject, my point is that his answers, whatever they may be, are a further testament to the deterioration of leadership in America!

Just think!

On June 9, 1776, John Adams wrote from Philadelphia, "Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measures in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us . . . ."

On June 11, a Committee was formed to develop a declaration of their intentions.

On July 4, 1776, a lengthy Declaration of Independence was adopted which changed the world! William Ellery, Rhode Island, later wrote that he stood where he could watch every person sign the document: "I was determined to see how they all looked as they signed what might be their death warrant. I . . . eyed each closely . . . . Undaunted resolution was displayed on every countenance."

What a contrast! Our ancestors, in less than a month, took the kind of courageous action that leaders who love their country take on behalf of liberty for "millions yet unborn," accomplishing in just weeks what no civilization had accomplished before.

Today, feckless pretenders to leadership, living like kings in previous monarchies, personally risking nothing, make excuses for inaction on suggested solutions, costly, hasty coercive forcing of his utopian solution, and, in the meantime, allow the precious inheritance of freedom to be risked for the sake of political power.

A better follow up question would have been:

Mr President, since you have reversed your prior policy supporting the Democrat position of higher gas prices and are now pursuing a policy that is alignment with the Republican position of lower gas prices, can you describe what specific policy changes you will be making to carry out this new agenda?
