This is a video about Joseph Kony in Uganda who is kidnapping and killing children.
It is a public relations type video. This is the Lord’s Resistance Army (11:58) which is why Obama sent troops (advisors) to Uganda.
This group” was successful in influencing Obama to make this decision with the help of 20 Culture makers (Hollywood names) and 12 Policy makers such as John Kerry, Clinton, Harry Reid, Romney, Condolesa Rice, George Bush Jr., Boehner, etc. (23:10-24:48) and are listed on their website.

“Our goal is to change the conversation of our culture (25:28) and ask who is Joseph Kony.”
They have kits to track the impact of the donations.

They talk about covering the night on April 20th meet at sundown as a movement to plaster posters everywhere and that everything will be upside down.

They claim that “the people” have the ability to change everything because we are bigger than those with the money. “The people of the world can protect each other.”
1. They are extremely organized – reminds me of the left. The right should be taking notes.
2. April 20 (26:26)
3. Cover the night (26:28)
4. Upside down (27:33) [Could this be the “bottom up” Van Jones talked about?]

Excerpt:
Military intervention may or may not be the right idea, but people supporting KONY 2012 probably don’t realise they’re supporting the Ugandan military who are themselves raping and looting away. If people know this and still support Invisible Children because they feel it’s the best solution based on their knowledge and research, I have no issue with that. But I don’t think most people are in that position, and that’s a problem.

Note that we have unlimited funds to go after East Africa’s Lord’s Resistance Army on both political and military fronts, but it’s hands off West Africa’s Boku Haram [Islamic] terrorists.

Wonder why that is? It’s a real head-scratcher.

Some counterpoints:

"I do not doubt for a second that those involved in KONY 2012 have great intentions, nor do I doubt for a second that Joseph Kony is a very evil man. But despite this, I'm strongly opposed to the KONY 2012 campaign."

Should I Donate Money to Kony 2012 or Not?

I am still unsure how I feel about this, I am leaning to the “Why are these leftists promoting more military intervention, isn’t this what they are against?”

Also, would it not be easier to send in a seal team and kill this guy, although the result I fear would be someone worse or as equally bad taking his place, also the Ugandan military is just as bad.

I heard about Kony about a year ago, and the LRA. It’s making the rounds on Facebook, at first I was like, good get this guy, but the more I think about it, I realize it’s very hypocritical of the left and their “anti-war” agenda. I feel like this video may have been made for a reason to get our military there for other interests, other than removing Kony.

If just for humanitarian reasons, and it’s the right thing to do....I’m not sure I agree. The right thing to do, I believe, would be as I said before, send in a seal team, and kill this guy.

A friend sent me the video on Facebook, I said much the same thing.....he said, they want to bring him to trial. Why?

This morning I checked a regional news website and was very surprised that the following Kony article was listed as "Most popular":

Making Joseph Kony a household name

I smell an October surprise in which obama heroically saves the day by capturing the dastardly Kony. These stories are part of the set-up. We probably already know where he is.

According to their Audited Financial Statement, the Invisible Children had as their stated purpose in the beginning of their organization in 2004, “Programs include educational and microeconomic initiatives in Central Africa benefiting over 11,000 people as well as biannual tours, awareness events, and fundraising campaigns statewide.”

However, also according to this same statement, “The Organization experienced very strong and unexpected revenue near fiscal year end 2011, which is reflected in unrestricted net assets at June 30, 2011.”

Under the line item: “Net Increase In Cash” 2011 is $4,923,140., whereas, for the year 2010 the Net Increase In Cash was $35,629.

Interesting to note, is what the report deems as RECENT activity. “Recently, the Organization has expanded its operations to Central Africa to address the plight of the most recent victims of the Lord’s Resistance Army’s (LRA) reign of terror who live in some of the most remote regions of the world.” The report describes a five step strategy, the 5th being, “promoting the arrest of Joseph Kony and top LRA commanders.

Read the report in pdf at the following link:

In their 2011 Annual report, special thanks is given to the following:

1Love, Aid for Africa, Better World Books, Billabong, Bobby Chang, Bridgeway Foundation, Charity: Water, Chase Community Giving, Crawford Family Foundation, Digitaria, Dungu-Doruma Diocese, Else de Temmerman, Enough, Fidelity Foundation, Gary and OJ Shansby, Halogen, Humnaity United, Interactive Radio for Justice, International Justice Mission, Josh Rodarmel, JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Kristen Bell, Maurice Mariano Family Foundation, National Christian Foundation, National Philanthropic Trust, New Venture Fund, Oprah Winfrey Foundation, Pac Sun, Pandju Merali Foundation, Project 7, Rachel Bilson, Resolve, Salesforce.com, Sean Parker, Segal Family Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Sisters of Saint Joseph of Orange, StayClassy, TechnoServe Inc., Tom Shadyac, UNHCR, University of California Irvine/Center for Unconventional Security Affairs, University of Southern California/Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, United Nations DDRRR, The Voice Project, Warby Parker, Wildlife Conservation Society, Wilmington Trust.

Additional information in the Annual Report I found interesting, was the report on the “The Fourth Estate.” In August 2011, the Invisible Children Organization hosted a three day conference by this title. 650 youth attended. (I am assuming these are the youth pictured in the viral video.) At this conference, participants engaged in discussions of public policy, international justice, effective fundraising, and what it means to be an empathic citizen. Participants were both educators and students from many countries.

Jason Russell, in the report, says of the conference, “We thought we were coming together to teach all of you the way forward...and you instead taught all of us (including the speakers) what the future is going to look like.” He added, “But there were things I was experiencing and hearing and feeling that were beyond imagination.” And then he quotes from one of the participants, Carly Parmer, saying she said, “There are no words to describe The Fourth Estate. I told my mom and my friends, you now just have to watch me live. My actions and life will be the words.” Jason Russell ends his note with a quote from “Mama Oprah” saying “Intention Rules Your Life.”

My conclusion, based on the organizations own reports is that this is a progressive organization typical of those we have learned to become aware of. The setting of the specific date— April 20, 2012 for the Kony2012 campaign on the heals of the “99% Spring” “TRAINING” going on April 9-14 is suspect. Also of interest, maybe totally unrelated, certainly hope it is, is the historical significance of April 19.

Would love to know if anyone could shed light on any of the organizations listed in the Special Thanks section.

Excellent work guys and/or gals. There's certainly a stench to all this alright. Way too organized, synchonized and polished - like a marketing campaign to sell laundry soap or a PR drive to polish a politician's image. Whatever it is, I cannot see it as sincere. There's smoke here, it's a matter of finding the fire and identifying what sort of fire it is. The bad news is that all this interesting info is sitting on a thread with 33 replies (soon to be 34).  Needs to be bundled up and sent over as a neat package to anyone with a big microphone and a pulpit, such as Brietbart's "BigGov" dot com, Mark Steyn, Rush, Hannity, Malkin, Beck - whomever. This needs some resources applied to get a light shined onto it so what's really going on will unravel and come out.
