Who gives a flip what obama is saying or will do. Winners don’t react but act!
Newt will take him on and make him spin - that’s what leaders do!
—Rick Santorum is a great father with great moral values—
So was Jimmy Carter. ;-)
Regarding your whole post, you very accurately reflect my position on this whole thing, but bring out specifics that I did not have the presence of mind to come up with on my own. Good Job.
I confess that, although I thought anyone could beat Obama (and I still pretty much do, but base it on what I expect the world to look like at election time), if the world does not change much between now and then, the only one that can beat him is Newt. The other two are tailor made for him to defeat.
We have to win in November, losing is not an option. All indications are that Mitt or Newt either one could win but that Rick Santorum could not. Newt Gingrich would be my first choice and I’d be fairly happy with any one of the three replacing Obama, but we have to win, period, end of story. We need to get Santorum out of the race and make a real choice out of it, Romney or Gingrich.
Reasonable conservatives will vote for Newt Gingrich.
Wow! This is the first time that I have watched the Santorum CNN interview goof—ouch!
I’ll vote for Newt if he gets the nod.
Bump to the top! ... Little Barry ‘the bastard’ Soetoro, with the affirmative action scam that IS the democrat party, and with the ardent promotion of his fraudulent butt by the euphemistically called ‘mainstream media’, has in fact been systemaqtically transforming America. So, how do you like his fundamental transformations? ... I don’t see Romney or Rick even wanting to reverse the transformation. But I can listen to what Newt Gingrich intends to do to cancel those insideous transformations and restore American exceptionalism. Newt has put his agenda up for public scrutiny ... and the Republican elites don’t like it, nor do the commie democrats!
I’’ll also vote for Rick if he gets the nod.
I won’t vote for Willard.
In other words... you DO NOT want any opinions that run counter to your own. Try the DU... this is FR.

Romney = Unscrupulous-Sales-Slut: Will do anything, be anything, say anything. Just wants to “close the deal” any way possible and could care less *how*. He’ll worry about what he will actually do *after* he gets elected. He drifts whichever way the political winds blow. The man has no foundation. A natural-born politi-slut, legislative prostitute.
Santorum = babe in the wood: Nice guy. Too nice. Gives the impression he’s never had to deal with a punch square in the face — probably speaks to why he’s so easily ruffled when asked “gotcha” questions. Doubt he’s *ever*, in his entire life, had to get some blood on his knuckles. In the general election, he will be a goldfish in a bowl full of sharks. The *ONLY* thing he’s got going for him is a veritable lock on the hard-core, single-issue voters who seem to want to elect a national preacher. Though the nation could use an improvement in it’s morals, ethics and a good dose of theology, the more pressing need is to get our financial house in order so that there will be a country *remaining* to be “saved”.
Paul = Wise Old Uncle off his meds: He’s great until he wants to commit national suicide by gutting defense. Has no understanding of and/or thinks he knows better than the following, unarguable, historically-proven truth — “the best defense is a good offense”. The best thing the libertarians have going for them is Paul. He’s also the worst thing they have going for them. You’d think they would wise up and dump the damaged goods (Paul) and promote someone (dang near anyone) else.
Gingrich = Insufferable know-it-all: Wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t so right. Knows his stuff on nearly any topic forward, backward and every which way. Can come across as an admonishing professor talking down to you. In any encounter, would have Obama pissing backwards and steaming. Has a bunch of baggage that turns some folks off. Also has a factual, historical track record of getting things done.
It must be said (and can not be said enough): WE NEED TO DO A MUCH BETTER JOB OF NOMINATING CANDIDATES!!!! This selection is merely “ok”. There’s not a true leader among them. Gingrich is maybe the closest to being a leader, but only because he’ll brow-beat you into line.
At this point, I’m voting Gingrich in the primary, if only to hope he stays in the race and gets more opportunities to stomp another mud-hole in Obama’s backside. I do think he stands the best chance of wiping the floor with Obama. All the others just parrot the same old tired lines against Obama that we’ve all heard a million times — when they happen to remember that Obama is the enemy. Gingrich can think on his feet and corner Obama multiple ways on whatever topic Obama is foolish enough to raise.
In the general, I’m voting for the GOP candidate, whoever that may be. Even if it’s (heaven help us) Romney or Paul. As mediocre as our primary choices are, they are all — to a man — a bazillion times better than Obama -AND- I don’t want Obama making *any* more SCOTUS appointments if I can help it.
Go, Newt!
