I’ve run afoul of this POS law.
I’m military with a home of record of Florida. When my license came due for renewal, I inquired as to the renewal process for military stationed overseas/out of state.
Their brillant response was that with the REAL ID law, *EVERYONE* must come, in person, into a Florida DMV office with three proofs of ID.
*IN PERSON* for G-d’s sake!
Not a single thought was put into the ramifications to military personnel. No ‘license will not expire until 30 days after service commitment ends’... NOTHING!
It’s either fly down to file the paperwork in person or “Eff” off.
The whole lot of them need to be tar and feathered.
Another problem they didn’t think about are those of us without a real physical address.
What are we suppose to do?
