Romney-Paul
Obama’s re-election will be assured
Ron Paul torches the bridge as he crosses into retirement.
Do they really think they can win without social conservatives??
I don’t think they care about winning in November. I think they are just trying to take more control of the GOP at this point, away from social conservatives.
What’s he supposed to say? The “it would be an honor to be considered” line is the standard cliche response from every politician when they’re posed with the VP question.
yes it is, but carry on!
That’s not the point. The author says as much.
The author just says that such an event causes one to think about this in some fairly fruitful ways so far as explaining Ron Paul’s glaring reluctance to target Mitt Romney and his outstanding penchant for targeting everyone else in the field.
and now you know the rest of the story ..... (about papa LRon playing footsie with Willard)
Rand Paul, Gov Brewer, and Marco Rubio would be on anyone GOP VP short list.
Ron Paul doesn’t gain much by going after Romney. He is also trying to go for the anti-Romney vote.
Have you guys ever wiki’d “Paulville”
It’s a hoot.
Well there’s the other shoe.
So ... think they’ll win 5 or 6 states?
Santorum 2012
Absolutely they think they can.
They want to run this race entirely without social conservatives.
They believe they can contest the middle and the left with Obama and come up a winner.
Their message to conservatives will be a kick to the curb and if they feel like voting for anyone, then they can choose between ObamNey and Rombama
If that happens it is important to them to prevent Paul from running a 3rd party campaign.
It is CRUCIAL for some other conservative who understands what’s going on to threaten, and then launch if necessary, a 3rd candidacy from the right. The perfect person for that would be Newt Gingrich IF he would. He has the brilliance and the distinctiveness to force the GOP to back down.
Romney-Paul will win Paulville, TX in a walk.
Not much else though. heh.
I’m with you P2BR!
Dang it, boy..don’t you know your not supposed to say that outloud?
He’s supposed to say “that won’t happen because my dad is going to win”. Not this silly BS.
The fact that his name is even being brought up is an indication that there have been discussions with the Romney camp and the fact that nobody in the Romney camp has made any real effort to deny it is confirmation.
The reality is that Rand Paul has been a senator for less than fourteen months. Prior to this he has zero political experience aside from some Tea Party involvement and he has no executive experience. That Paul's name is being mentioned without firm denials based on his total lack of qualification certainly makes it look like something is up.
LOL
