Palin never had high negatives, that was all “talking point” nonsense. She pulled a steady 42-48% of the GOP when there were 8 or 9 potential candidates.
I hope three times this close together is enough for people to realize the GOP power structure is out to destroy mainstream conservatism period. First they destroyed Palin, then they destroyed Newt, and now the long knives are out for Rick. Just look at Drudge if you can stand it. His page is set up with a bunch of lying, misleading, trumped-up anti-Rick headlines and stories just like it was for Newt the day the ABC interview with Marianne Gingrich came out. You still barely get the sense Romney even exists from his page as it’s been all year.
And tonight on Greta one of those Washington reporter types repeated the new meme that the GOP will not let Rick Santorum win the nomination no matter what it takes, and will bring in a new candidate if Romney loses Michigan. They’re saying they’ll put him on the ballot in the 10 or so states still open and then apparently make him the winner at a brokered convention (e.g. Jeb, Daniels, Christie).
This all continues to be completely disgusting and disgraceful. This is a party that is telling us it’s not big enough for the likes of Palin, Newt or Santorum.
UPDATE: Fox took the poll down but not before the massive voting result had Palin the clear winner-reported as;
Sarah Palin 41.54% (39,539 votes)
Chris Christie 23.34% (22,217 votes)
Paul Ryan 14.52% (13,821 votes)
Jeb Bush 11.89% (11,320 votes)
Mitch Daniels 8.7% (8,280 votes)
