I wouldn’t be too quick to jump onto the brokered convention bandwagon. Th establishment Republicans are planning on offering up Jeb if Romney doesn’t seal the deal.

From where I sit, either one is a lose-lose for the GOP and zero wins round 2. I’m not too sure where Sarah really stands. She;s keeping everything too close to the vest and, IMO, while I like her and would love to see her as our candidate, I believe that she would split the party. Too many people DON’T like Sarah and will stay home in November.

Right now, the way things appear, the GOP and conservatives are heading for a giant cluster**** in the summer that will probably ensure another Obama term if we are unable to rally around a particular candidate.

So far, Romney and Paul are unlikely choices. Which leaves us Newt and Rick Santorum. I like Newt, but he tends to be a bit polarizing and could face an uphill battle in the fall - battling both conservatives and the Obama Propaganda Teams (AKA Truth Teams).

And, Santorum would probably fare worse. He still lacks strong name recognition and would be the target of withering attacks from Obama.

IMO, Obama will probably NOT do the bulk of his own battling, he would leave that to his gang of thugs and his propagandists. All in all, I think this campaign will be the dirtiest and most ruthless campaign we have ever seen. And, traditionally, conservatives are not up to dirty politics.

I agree with most every word you say here Dusty, but I’m not jumping on a ‘brokered convention bandwagon’

Rather, the character assassination of Newt Gingrich by the old guard GOP and Romney campaign was the last straw for me... I’m not voting for him, I’m disgusted... and to me Santorum is a guaranteed loser

It’s not a fad, from where I’m standing, brokered convention is the only hop I’ve got left

The GOP is already split. About 23% (or less) are for Romney, or can even tolerate him. About 77% are rabidly anti-Romney, and anti- whatever RINO they might put up to replace him.

This fight is long overdue. The nation will not survive another RINO.
