“I noticed this yesterday on this and other sites. I think romney has his church out posting everywhere. People are always saying mormons are so nice. I’ve had some mormons say such nasty things, I thought I was talking to a liberal thug.”

isn’t it obvious that all NEWT supporters are mormons, and don’t feel that Sen. Rick Santorum is the man to beat BO??

Billion-Dollar Obama Machine Would Cut Santorum to Ribbons

He seems to be cutting your preferred candidate to ribbons on a shoestring budget. What does that say about how weak and unprepared your guy is to fight the Regime?

Well, I think it’s a sudden realization that we have somehow let a mediocre candidate get the upper hand in the primary and a hope that Newt will rise from the ashes.

There is also regret that Michelle Bachmann shot herself in the foot and that Perry gave up way too soon.

I don’t think it’s anything more than that but if you have some conspiracy theory you want to believe in, go for it.

Just going by my own feelings, Santorum never appealed to me. He was my last resort before Romney. I was for Perry and then transferred with some trepidation to Newt and now it looks like we may be stuck with Santorum.

But I’m not pessimistic enough to think that Obama can beat him.

Anecdotal, but I talked to a youngish guy at church Tuesday and he admitted voting for Obama. He also admitted that it was because he is black, and I guess some guilt was involved. He also said it was a big mistake and he wouldn’t do it again.

So, if you multiply that by all the voters who are disappointed in Obama, I think Santorum can beat him.

I just wish he’d give up the creepy smile and the sweater vests and act more mature.

“Obama doesn’t have a billion dollars.”

Obama has $250M now and plans ‘a Billion Dollar campaign’ according to multiple sources:

Looks like most of the whining is going on by Newt supporters that are upset he flamed out. With over half of Americans viewing him unfavorable, Newt has NO path to win.

For the record,

The National Taxpayer Union (NTU) scoring paints a radically different picture of Santorum’s 12-year tenure in the Senate (1995 through 2006) than one would glean from the rhetoric of the Romney campaign. Fifty senators served throughout Santorum’s two terms: 25 Republicans, 24 Democrats, and 1 Republican/Independent. On a 4-point scale (awarding 4 for an A, 3.3 for a B+, 3 for a B, 2.7 for a B-, etc.), those 50 senators’ collective grade point average (GPA) across the 12 years was 1.69 — which amounts to a C-. Meanwhile, Santorum’s GPA was 3.66 — or an A-. Santorum’s GPA placed him in the top 10 percent of senators, as he ranked 5th out of 50.

People like you are why this nation ended up with Jimmy Carter in 1976.

Jimmy Carter was so decent and such a fine social conservative - married faithfully to one woman, nice loving family, he even taught Sunday school. Compared to those insiders from Washington, he seemed like the ideal person to be President. He wasn’t.

I urge you to do more research. Santorum is NOT the conservative people believe him to be, and he has never apologized for his screwups or borderline illegalities.

Newt is my choice also but fear Sarah would hurt our chances to win.

Far too many hate her with a passion and would come out in droves just to vote against her.

And Newt Gingrich’s actual positive Conservative voting record will easily dwarf the one you posted on Santorum. But none of that will matter when it comes to the actual ability of the candidate to win a National election. Santorum totally lacks the attraction necessary to win over the entire country.

Perhaps you would impress us more, to post exactly what santorum’s workable economic plan is in detail, not just his usual generalizations he has projected in speeches or articles. Give it to us in the form of a formal, detailed strategy. You know, like the kind that Newt Gingrich has already presented and has published for all to see.

Go ahead and start looking. You are going to be a while.

If you believe that Santorum “exploit”ed his little girl, that is nuts. That kind of thinking will be welcome at any Democrat campaign office in the country. Bob

With Santorum you are going to get another polite Senator running for President like Dole and McCain.

We need a fighter, and that is what Newt is.

No, I think it’s romney people. Newt supporters aren’t that dumb. They know by offending Santorum backers, Newt will turn into “anybody but Newt” because most Newt/Santorum backers will go for either. I could be wrong. If it is Newt backers, and we will find out. I know one thing for sure. “ANYBODY BUY ROMNEY”.

Half of her sentence was correct. People have vetted him and find him lacking. That is why he is polling so low. People don’t like him. Simple really. For you to win elections, a good 1st step is that most people don’t dislike you as a person. I like much of what Newt has done but he cannot win in a general election.

loser’s aura in the wake of getting trounced by 19 pts last time out (as an incumbent!)

What a damn liar. That race was 17 percent and could easily be verified by a simple google search. When I see a major flaw in the story, it should be completely ignored. Total crap story.
