It just doesn’t work for me or anyone I chose to know, thank God. One of the reasons I quit working for the state after 8 years were those dynamics. I’ve never regretted it.
Any church is a tribe, and it maintains its membership by pointing out how all of those NOT belonging to their group are wrong. In order to keep the group cohesive, it is necessary to point out both why being a member is good, and why being a non-member is bad.
