I passed the point that you are describing about 18 years ago. You may be surprised to realize soon that the reasons that motivated you to purchase your first gun will also motivate you to purchase others, for a variety of purposes.
One reason that motivated me to purchase a second weapon was the knowledge that there would be a multitude of people LIKE YOU, who had not yet reached the point of recognizing the direction in which our nation was headed and who might need my assistance. I'm confident that there are still millions of such people.
Unfortunately, all my arms were lost in an unfortunate boating accident.
Did you lose your Bow and Arrows too?
Seriously, you are 110% right as the next purchase has already been made and I await shipment.
When I held my “first born” in my hands I said a quiet prayer that “You NEVER EVER be NEEDED.” Used at the range is fun..NEED I can do without.
(I just couldn’t resist the bow and arrow jibe)
