Mitt Romney is supposed to be the only Republican who can defeat Barack Obama, a boast that is belied by his trailing of Obama in the polls.
The assumption is that the muddled middle, those folks with less strident ideology who are more open to compromise, will be the deciding factor in November.
As we used to say in the neighborhood, Oh yeah?
We offer this advice . . .

Romney, the liberal Democrat from Massachusetts will lose to the marxist from Kenya.

Who is "we"? What advice?
How about you post the relevant part and excerpt the rest, O king of teasers?
The romantic fiction that the “middle” has attitudes that are somewhat of a compromise between the progressive ideologues, and the stalwart conservative beliefs, is just that, a myth. The one view lets its unbridled fancy roam to all kinds of extravagant imaginings (you know, like what would a person do first if they won the lottery), the other view knows that the chances of winning the lottery are pretty small, but the better mousetrap almost always generates new revenue where none existed before. The “middle” ends up being the customer for the better mousetrap, and not buying so much of the lottery tickets.
It’s sad, the pimping.
Good article and so very true! That is why the Conservatives are having such a hard time with those currently running. We have no real Conservatives!
We have Romney (hates the Tea Party and what it stand for), Gingrich who hates everybody that is against his ideas (unless they can win - but not the Tea Party), Santorum who loves big government (and bailouts) as long as he can support some Conservative ideas, and Ron Paul who is so kooky regarding foreign policy and drugs that he becomes impossible to support (has some good ideas though).
What we really need is for a standup Conservative supporting the Constitution, smaller government, less regulation, more freedom, and has reasonable foreign policy ideas. We have none of those running.
Yes, not only do we have a problem, but against the weakest opponent of all time, these are our best candidates?
Time for a third party - although it may occur too late.
