Interesting. Slidell is just down the road from me. I would’ve thought that most of those folks down there would be Dems. Well, maybe they are and that is the reason for the brou-ha-ha.
If you lived anywhere close, you would know that this area is one of the most conservative places in the US.
We used to live in Slidell when my husband was stationed over at the river boat unit at Stennis over in Mississippi. It always struck me as more conservative than their neighbor to the south (N.O).
