Bingo!
We have lots of citizenship law that needs a Constitutional Amendment to fix which we should support.
I have been involved in this issue since I was a Law Review editor during the Goldwater period. I have read every case and every authority. I talk regularly to lawyers in DC who argue Supreme Court cases. There is not now and has never been any real room for doubt about how the Supreme Court would decide this case.
He has vulnerability's on the place of birth and parentage issues. But we need competent counsel and an organized effort. We don't have that at present. So we continue to lose because the lawyers who advocate our side and most of their clients are living in a dreamworld.
Thanks, David. I was trying to apply some good, old common sense to a situation that didn’t seem so difficult but turned out to be a BIG MESS. A Constituional Amendment would be a start but wouldn’t fix this now. And this needs fixing NOW.
Can you explain “He has vulnerability’s on the place of birth and parentage issues.”? I know it’s been discussed on FR whether or not Stanley Dunham and/or BHO,Sr. are his real parents. Is that what you mean?
Maybe also because the lawyers don't have enough hard evidence at their disposal. Also, regarding the funding needed; if lawyers did have access to hard evidence, why couldn't some of the people fighting this fight organize a fundraising drive to get the requisite funds? I bet a lot of people would donate if they knew that some butt kicking lawyer/lawyers were willing to take it on and had hard evidence. Even as broke as I am I'd donate a little.
