Spirited: Starting in the 60’s a new spirituality began sweeping over and across America. That ‘new’ spirituality was Vedanta monism, the underlying foundation of many seemingly different “new” spiritualities, be they Hinduism, Wicca, Gnosticism, Mythology, Jungian Depth Psychology, Goddess worship, the Perennial Philosophy, Interfaith, or the spiritual homosexual agenda.
As the ‘new’ spirituality converted its’ adherents it effected a spiritual counter-conversion of the soul, both individually and corporately, leading Newsweek to announce:
“We are all Hindus Now’ meaning that the Western soul has been profoundly and definitively altered—a change that spiritual observer, Philip Goldberg, in his book ‘American Veda’ compares to the Great Awakenings of the 18th century. (Dr. Peter Jones, Confronting Neo-Paganism in the Culture and the Church,truthexchange, Apr. 12, 2011)
When the counter-conversion reaches critical mass a spiritual transformation will occur. This means that the Spirit of God will have departed giving America over to another spirit.
Those whose souls have been converted do not realize as yet that they have stepped out into a downward spiraling vortex issuing into the outer-darkness of the void.
I presume that you mean those who have converted to the new age kind of spiritism as opposed to actual Christianity.
Well certainly that would be Satan's plan. But he is not stronger than Christ.... And so I do not believe this counter-conversion can achieve the critical mass necessary for a spiritual transformation essentially premised in a Lie, the sole purpose of which is to efface the Image of God in the world....
Dear sister in Christ, you deal with a lot of "dark" material, RE: the so-called "new spirituality" movements. Every one of them denies and rejects Christ.
And so, as far as I am concerned, they are "works" of the Great Deceiver, the Father of Lies.
I had an up-close-and-personal contact with Arcane School Theosophy a few decades back; which then progressed into contacts with Benjamin Creme's circle, which then as ever was trumpeting the imminent return of Maitreya, the "Christ," to earth.
Well, I survived all that; I came to my senses and departed from this mayhem. It was mayhem, because Creme's doctrine relentlessly marginalizes Jesus Christ, and places His Logos in some la-la land beyond human intelligibility — in a hierarchy of "hidden masters of the hierarchy" — a hierarchy fully in charge here on Earth, but also beyond our planet; beyond our solar system; beyond our galaxy; etc. What we end up with is a universe fully staffed at all levels by hierarchically-ordered "divine" administrators, who are administrating — WHAT???
That part is never articulated.
Oh, but the best thing of all is supposedly the highest ranking hierarch of all started as a poor miserable soul just like you!!! But he "spiritually trained" his soul; he had the requisite (infinite) number of "initiations." You can do this, too — if only you will try, and get yourself a guru to help you along your noble spiritual path!
It's the "all-about-meeeeeeeee" culture trying to find "spiritual meaning" without Spirit.
I am sure that Satan is very pleased when individual souls fall for this garbage.
The Holy Spirit led me out of this danger. The Light of Christ guided my path.
What really did it for me in the end was the increasingly obvious fact that most of the people I was then hanging out with were totally nutz. :^)
I just have to object to Philip Goldberg's association of this supposed "new spirituality" with the historical American "Great Awakenings." Two are of particular note: the Great Awakening of the early 18th century, which prepared the way for the American Revolution; and the Great Awakening of the 19th century, which prepared the way for the abolition of slavery. Both these Great Awakenings were about human liberty. And both culminated in bloody war.... (Final score: Christ 2, Satan 0.)
This so-called "new spirituality" has nothing to do with liberty. In effect, it holds out the promise of self-divination. One becomes enslaved to that idea.... And then seeks a "master" to guide one.
I guess this is the "ME Generation's" idea of "spirituality."
But don't let it get you down, dear sister in Christ! In your study of "darkness," do not allow yourself to be sucked into the dark undertow!
Live in Hope. Give all thanks and praise to God! Try to live in His Light and Grace and Love. Put full faith and trust in Him.
And then, leave the issue to Him.
At least, this is what I do.
In the end Satan doesn't have a chance. Do people want to go down with him?
