"Fabian Tactics"
Named for Fabius, the general who set up the eventual defeat of Hannibal by Scipio, mainly by hit and run tactics ... mostly run ... and wearing him down by delaying ... and generally leaving him guessing.... tiring the Cathaginians out while rebuilding the Roman Army and digging elephant traps. Fabius believed in avoiding direct confrontation unless absolutely necessary, which he thought a very rare circumstance, indeed!
The Romans were so impressed with the guy's non-fighting, non-confrontational methods they paid him the high Roman accolade of a tricky nickname ... Fabius Cunctator ... Fabius The Delayer.
The Fabians adopted the same philosophy to overturn free capitalism. No direct head-to-head confrontation. Working out very well for them, I'd say.

In a sense, very much like indoctrinating children that public displays of Christianity are unconstitutional so the children will embark on a multi front crusade to eliminate it while the true drivers remain in the shadows.
